Hiking

Those in the know have long regarded Corfu as Mediterranean hiking paradise. The landscape in the north is unspoilt, as is the hinterland of the Country Club with its green hills which slope upwards all the way to the 908 meters high Pantokrator peak, a perfect area for hiking. Together with the charity Corfu Trail, we have created a network of over 100 km of signposted hiking trails on our own initiative. Through idyllic landscapes with shady olive groves and quaint mounting villages, you’ll reach near-derelict chapels and monasteries from another era. Everywhere hikers are rewarded by spectacular views of islands, deep blue seas and the opposite mainland.

The St. George's Bay Country Club is located right by the 222 km long distance hiking trail Corfu Trail, a destination of hikers from all over the world.

The best time for hiking is until the beginning of June, and then again from mid-September, and we thus offer our guests regular guided hikes at the beginning and the end of the season, when it’s not too hot.

In addition, the varied landscape beckons to extensive hikes along the sea with the opportunity for healthy water treading and visits to secluded “private bays”.
